The Biological Transport Group meets annually at the
Lake Cumberland State Resort Park
in Jamestown, Kentucky.
The first meeting occurred in 1966. This year will represent the 44th
year meetings have occurred.
The meeting is sponsored in part by the
American Physiological Society
.
The 2009 Meeting is scheduled for Sunday, June 21, 2009 through Wednesday June 24, 2009.
The Lake Cumberland Biological Transport Meeting is an excellent forum for principal investigators, post-doctoral fellows and graduate students alike to present published data or work in progress and receive feedback. No abstracts or publications are involved. The central theme of the meeting is biotransport, but presentations in related areas (cell biology/physiology, molecular biology, biochemistry) are welcome. Presentations are made in an informal atmosphere with open discussion encouraged. The scientific sessions will be held morning and evening. Afternoons are free to enjoy swimming, fishing, golfing, riding, hiking, or just relaxing in this beautiful 3,000 acre state park.
